Schilling seems to have called Obamacare all wrong

When he announced that he was running for Congress again, Bobby Schilling made a number of nonsensical claims about a lot of things. One of them was Obamacare. Schilling claimed that Obamacare would result in a 61% increase in insurance premiums (how was he so precise?). Today (July 17, 2013) the New York Times ran a story quoting state officials to the effect that rates for individual policies (where people buy their own insurance and do not get it through an employer) will be going down by about 50% (or a 111% difference between reality and Bobby Schilling).

A Quick Note to Anyone Sending Hate Mail

(Note: I first published this over a year ago on another blog but it is as true today as it was then.)

I noticed this the other day – comment removed by administrator. See photo. Evidently someone had written a comment that contained so much profanity (or who knows what) that it was caught in some sort of filter and deleted by Google before I even had a chance to see it.

I also noticed that whoever this was went to the trouble of creating a fake Google ID.

Feel free to flame me using the comment feature of Blogger but be sure to keep the profanity to a minimum (use a stand in like “@” for “a” or “$” for “s” etc. Also, you don’t have to create a fake ID as I wouldn’t use that info to do anything inappropriate.

Welcome to my "Just Say NO to Schilling" blog.

I started this blog today, July 9, 2013, in response to Bobby Schilling's announcement that he is running again for the 17th. Congressional district. He is picking up right where he left off, lying through his teeth (IMHO). He claims that he is campaigning "for the middle class" but remember that this is the man who turned his back on Sensata.

In the coming weeks I will add information from his previous term in Congress and his previous campaign. This will include how he ignored his own district while voting for pork barrel spending in other districts (and ignoring his pledge to curb spending). It will include how he turned his back on the workers of Sensata in Freeport, Il. when Bane Capital shipped their jobs to China. And most damning of all, how he voted to throw over 1,000,000 sick and wounded veterans out of the VA healthcare system.
